This is the 2010 IFMAR ISTC World Championship-winning machine, the TRF417 Chassis Kit. TRF417 was created using valuable race data gained through races with the TRF416 and aims to win the world championship in 2012.

Specs & Features

The chassis design is focused on weight distribution and high-traction characteristics, with *the new minimum chassis weight rule in mind. *The 2012 world championship regulations state that the minimum chassis weight will be restricted to 1,350g. (1,450g in 2010).

The TRF417 has an optimized chassis layout for high-power lithium batteries and brushless motors.

One-piece aluminum motor mount offers extra strength and durability to handle high-power motors, enabling transmission of the motor power to the drive train with minimal friction loss.

Compared to the TRF416, the motor position has been moved about 2.0mm towards the center to keep high traction during racing.

By using a 19T pulley, the internal drive ratio becomes 1.94, which is very close to the ideal rate for brushless motors (2.0). With this, the car has less flexing resistance on drive belts and speed loss is minimized when the throttle is off.

Newly designed steering linkage is not connected to the upper deck, providing improved flexibility to hold traction during cornering.

Newly designed ball diff housing and plates provide extra durability.-Identical front and rear bulkheads.

Comes equipped with short reversible suspension arms and TRF416 uprights.

BRUNEI OPEN DRIFT CHALLENGE @ TIMES SQUARE

The long awaiting Brunei RC Drift Open Challenge @ Times Square has been confirmed as follows:-

Organized by : PEMKAR, Brunei

Venue : Times Square Shopping Mall, Berakas, Brunei.

Entrance Fee : BND $40 (PEMKAR MEMBER) , BND $60 (NON-MEMBER) with Hand-out Tyre HPI T-Drift #4406.

*Closing date for paying the entrance fee is on the 13th (for locals) and on the 14th for drivers from neighboring countries.

Trophies : All 'A', 'B', 'C' Main Finalist and 1 Prize for the winner in the Best Bodyshell Competition.

Track Size : Estimate 1500 sq.ft (Indoor Carpet).

QUALIFYING:

- 5 (Five) heats with 3 Laps in every heat, Best Of 1 (One) Heat Qualifying

- Tandem Drift Battle (Top 24 Drivers - Which will be divided into 3 Groups according to qualifying points)

- Each drivers will start the challenge with 300 points in every 1 heat and complete their lap with the best time

- Drivers must keep the maximum points in every heat and their best time (Priority - the best heat points will be taken then the best time for ranking) to advance in the top 24.
- There will be deduction of points made during the 3 heats in qualifying round if:-

i: drivers hitting, bumping the inner line of the track - 10 points deduction
ii: drivers hitting, bumping the outer line of the track - 20 points deduction
iii. drivers who did not hit or enter the boxes on the track - 30 points deduction

Brunei FEMCA ISTC 2010 13-16th may 2010

It was the 1st big r/c event being held in Brunei Darussalam. The races take place on the indoor stadium from 13- 16th may 2010. On this event, there were 2 categories: mod class and stock class. Below is the layout of the track.


On Thursday 13/05/10: was a free practice, which the track was open to all r/c drivers’ which participates during the event. This event was participating from other countries around Asian region such as Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. During that day also the registrations and technical inspection was take places.

On Friday 14/05/10: Were the control practices which the drivers were given the handout control tires and handout control motor for stock category. During the control practices, I’m manages to done 1 heat control practices. During evening, the track was officially open by the guest of honor.

On Saturday 15/05/10: was the qualifying round which consist 4 heats.
During the 1st heat, I’m manages to finish 2 laps only because my battery strip cut. During the 2nd and 4th qualify round, my car run smooth.

On Sunday 16/05/10: Were the 5th and final heats for the qualifying. During the 5th heat, Im got unlucky because my c hub was broke due the impact Im did to the track barrier. During the final heat, once again Im got unlock because my knuckle arm broke also due the same impact cause. Below is the result of the qualifying round for the stock class and mod class

our 2nd round will be held on 2nd of May the venue will be at the underground drift track at stadium hassanal bolkiah stadium (will be updated if there is any changes).for the drivers which have entered the 1st round of the series only pays $5 for the entrance fee while new comers will be charged $10 (subject to change if the drivers did no exceed 32 drivers). the fee for drivers that advance to the next round remain the same as the previous round.payment to be paid at the race day itself and no online registration required.be at the race track before 9am as usual.please inform your friends and team-mates. see you guys on the 2nd.

1st round drift-tech Grandprix

Date: 7th march 2010

Time: 9 a.m.

venue: CH Hobbies Track

there are possibilities that 1:18 scale rc race will be held along with our 1st series organized by CH Hobbies.

Rules & Regulations:

1. Race entrance fee - $10 for each race and additional $5 for the drivers who advance to each level e.g. advance to top 32,16 n 8.

2. Motor - Controlled motor ; 9 turn brushless motor ONLY.

3. Battery - Open.

4. Tire - HPI T-Drift #4406 (all tires and rims will be kept by organizer till the next round)

5. Bodyshells - Drift / realistic 1:10 bodyshells are allowed, no touring bodyshells.

6. Race format - Drift point, for the search for top 32,16 and 8. For the top 8 drivers the format will change to Tandem Drift Battle until the final.

7. Point system - Top 20 Drivers.

8. Venue and date - drivers will be informed earlier where it will be held.

9. Prizes - will be given to the top 8 drivers in the final.
